Zadig & Voltaire is one of my favorite brands. The French fashion label was founded in 1997 by Thierry Gillier, whose grandfather co-founded Lacoste. Known for their cult-like status, and for being part of the wardrobe of Kate Moss, Chlöe Sevigny, Iggy Pop, Zadig & Voltaire epitomizes the French rock’n roll scene.

The brand has a solid reputation for accessible and high-quality ready-to-wear. Its signature is the combination of fabrics like cashmere, silk and leather with must-have cuts.

More than a decade, Cecilia Bönström has been Zadig&Voltaire’s artistic director, but this season she co-designed with Paulo Melim Anderson, former Marni and Chloé. The result of this first collaboration is that je ne sais quoi typically French that charms everybody. We’ll see fun patchwork fake furs, lace-and-leather looks, and amazing boots.
Zadig&Voltaire has shops everywhere, but not in Vienna. The nearest is in Munich. Or online.
