Turns out Iris Apfel and Linda Rodin are not the only stylish seniors out there. Setting up a street style blog in Omsk, Siberia, photograper Igor Gavar quickly found himself rather attracted to the flashy outfits of the elderly populations, and the Oldushka Project was born.

When it’s not all about the brands, it’s a degree of creativity and carefree attitude that makes the winning outfit. Gavar roams around the city and snaps shots of well-dressed ladies and properly groomed gentlemen, and he sends a message. “Age can be looked at from different perspectives” he told Refinery29. “A woman can look incredible at 75, and […] an old lady from a village in a headscarf is also a matter of aesthetics, taste, and style”. We agree.
