That the world of coding is among the (many) seemingly male-dominated industries, we are all well aware of. All in all, we are a good bunch of working girls pursuing our careers, and we love it when somebody gets out there to give some support.
This time, it was no less than supermodel Karlie Kloss, who, unexpectedly to many, is all about technology and academic achievements — apart from Victoria Secret’s outfits and rocking catwalks all around the world last fashion month. Just saying.
After attending coding class at the Flatiron School last year, Kloss decided to share her empowering knowledge with the world, funding a scholarship called Kode With Karlie. The scholarship will be given to 20 young girls willing to learn the art of coding; all it takes is a video to be chosen among the (hopefully) tons of applicants.
This is awesome, Karlie, and we would like to remind every power girl out there that there are more existing scholarships for women one can apply to.
