Karl Lagerfeld really is something: head of Chanel and his homonymous line, active in Fendi and Chloé, owner of a celebrity cat, and 81. His latest achievement, an exhibition all about him, is going to be up and running in Bonn, Germany from March 28. It was his consultant Lady Amanda Harlech to gather the best of the designer’s production. “It is not a retrospective, it’s a future-spective,” she told Vogue.
It was Gerhard Steidl, the man in charge of other several Lagerfeld photography exhibitions, to design the whole itinerary throughout the Bundeskunsthalle in Bonn. The viewer walks Lagerfeld’s steps one fashion house at a time until the boiling point, the end. “We have a curtain of blank sketchbooks at the end,” said again Amanda.”They are just waiting for the next collection to be designed”.
Karl Lagerfeld fashion exhibition ModeMethode will be waiting for you at Bundeskunsthalle, Bonn, from this Saturday until September.
