Milan Fashion Week just ended and we already want to pack our bags and leave for a vacanza Romana. The incredible Gucci AW15 collection wasn’t enough to let us satisfied; the italianness of it all was more pleasant than ever, especially since many designers got over the stereotypical sexiness of the peninsula and produced more mature pieces. This made for a genuine Italian flavor — and who doesn’t love that?
Dolce & Gabbana
The Italian fashion house par excellence keeps its flower game strong, while it features a new kind of model on the runway: the Mamma.
I don’t know where to get started here. Beautiful playfulness, flashy tones, dream accessories…the new Italian woman is not afraid to shine.
Three keywords: fur, leather, and neutral tones. That’s what makes Trussardi the chicest of the bunch.
A touch of retro for Trussardi, who chose a whole new interpretation of gingham for its pieces. To wear when you feel like sporting a 70’s suit to work.
Missoni revolutionizes his pieces bringing print to the new level: the dominant one.
To be very honest, what I liked about Versace were the mantels and the intense color blocking. It’s not much, but it’s that futuristic touch that is pleasant to the eye.
