Every year is a different year in fashion. The seasonal collections come out and redesign whatever we believed in just a few months before, making the industry something that never bores.
Looking back at 2014 in terms of clothes and accessories, we can say it was a good year for some special surprises. Minimalism and streetwear entered the mainstream more than ever, normality took a step forward and patterns and brightness was the choice for some very singular runways.
And it was the runways to bring out some pretty revolutionary pieces, breaking many barriers and putting arts and crafts in the melting pot more than ever. Surprising, delightful, even scary: this is what 2014 in fashion looked like.
Let’s have a look and find out who changed fashion in 2014, looking forward to an even more revolutionary 2015.
Nicolas Ghesquière for Louis Vuitton
Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier for Marc By Marc Jacobs
