MuaMua – Dolls With An Attitude

The first MuaMua dolls were born on the beaches of Bali in 2006. They were the brainchild of designer and creative mind, Ludovica Virga. These crochet dolls are all produced by the locals on the island in order to give back and help the economy in this area.

The sales of the Mua Mua dolls didn’t really start taking off until 2009 when Virga met with Karl Lagerfeld and presented him a doll in his likeness, and of course the ever modest Kaiser Karl loved the dolls so much he commissioned 500 dolls to be made to sell in his stores.

Once he had Karl under his belt, the line quickly began to expand and he added other famous fashion icons like Anna Wintour and Coco Chanel to his line of dolls.
