Its name is Monomer, and it’s a jewelry brand like not many others around. Mixing art, sculpture and fine taste born from the encounter between computer design and goldsmith’s art, the two founders Thomas Mrokon and Antje Bott have been able to make a name for themselves through the highly technological approach to fashion and accessories of many sorts which today can be 3D printing.
“For us, jewelry is […] a portable sculpture for the fingers, wrists, neck or ears”; these are the inspiring words used by Monomer to describe their unique products. The materials vary from polyamide to sterling silver and brass; their creations are all about finesse and aimed to show the full potential of 3D writing when it comes to details.
For us, 3D printed jewelry the right kind of accessory for an edgy look, just in-between fine art and technology.
