What started out as a small project in 2008 for NY-based photographer Todd Selby, where he would take photos of his friends in their homes, gradually grew into his first book The Selby Is in Your Place. The book featured profiles of influential and inspiring people in their natural habitat similar to another book we came across, Freunde von Freunden.
His latest project Fashionable Selby hit stores last March and shows the lives of contemporary trend setters, underground artists and designers as well as emerging talent. It give’s great insight into todays fashion scene and where the future is heading focusing on new, less main stream names that are at the forefront of the industry. The book has around 500 photos as well as his personalized watercolor illustrations. Take a look at them.
