Every year since 2012 H&M has had a competition for new designers with their Annual Design Award. For one talented fashion student it has a €50.000 prize and a chance to present their collection at Stockholm Fashion Week with a chance produce key pieces of the runway show as a capsule collection for H&M. We are always excited to see fresh young talent on the scene, especial one as skilled as the winner this year, Eddy Anemian.
The great thing about the end of October for us this year is the crisp weather, apple cinnamon everything, Halloween and the fact that his 10 piece collection will arrive in H&M stores globally on 23. October. We already know these pieces will be huge with the street style set – with his use of bold graphic patterns and interesting shapes and textures it creates a nice flair for anyones fall wardrobe. He not only impressed us over here, but he also blew away the panel of industry giants who were responsible for choosing a winner including designer Erdem Moralioglu, “Downton Abbey” star Michelle Dockery, and H&M Creative Advisor Margareta van den Bosch, which is quite a feat for a 24 year old designer!
We cannot wait to see more big things come from this new and very talented designer!
