The biannual event is back at Somerset House and so far there has been one great show after another. So we loved the Marchesa, Topshop Unique, and Mary Katrantzou shows, just to name a few… But there was one designer that really caught our eye and that was Duro Olowu. He embodies British diversity and multiculturalism.
He described himself as a British designer with a Nigerian heritage and an important business in America. His looks were inspired by Saint-Louis in northwest Senegal. His designs prove that he is truly a master of prints. It is different and refreshing to look at, when many designers this fashion week so far have been playing it relatively safe.
