This beautiful show from Dolce & Gabbana will really delight you! Great design duo has this weekend served a supreme style, Italian decadence and a sharp sense of humour, while presenting its Alta Moda collection to the fashion industry.
The show took place in Italy and especially for this occasion, design duo Dolce & Gabbana have ‘Italianised’ their very own line of couture dresses. The Alta Moda project, for Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, stems from true passion and major financial investment – and a lot of imagination.
This season, the collection is dedicated to the legendary island of Capri, passionately loved by both the bourgeoisie and bohemians for the past hundred years. Every corner of the island is full of history, and Dolce & Gabbana were specifically inspired by the history of Capri in the early 50s, when eccentric bohemians and the artistic elite were free to live an unrestrained lifestyle that was not available to them in the city.
The whole show took three days, including gala dinner, venue of the show in a private bay, and lots of fun but only for a selection of hand picked editors, key representatives of international Vogue editions and their private friends. Last day guests were invited to try sailing, explore the boutiques of Capri and of course, to participate on a closing party with a dress code “Italian 50s print”. Final surprise was great firework over the sky!
We love their idea! Way to go D&G!
