An iconoclast is one who destroys sacred religious images, but today is more used to define someone who attacks established or traditional concepts; and it’s exactly what Louis Vuitton is always looking for, when the brand engages artists to ‘destroy’ or to reinvent LV logo.
This time the French Luxury brand is given ‘carte-Blanche’ to Karl Lagerfeld, architect Frank Gehry, artist Cindy Sherman, fashion designer Rei Kawakubo, Christian Louboutin and interiors designer Marc Newson.
The limited-edition items will arrive in stores in mid-October to celebrate LV’s 160th anniversary. The collaborative items are to retail from around $3,000. Lagerfeld and Sherman also created trunks in exclusively numbered editions of 25.
