With the spring season we welcome the great trend of garden parties! Sunny weather, flowers and the green grass get’s us in the mood for relaxing and joyful parties.

The most famous garden parties have been held at Buckingham Palace since the 1860s when Queen Victoria instituted what were known as ‘breakfasts’ (though they took place in the afternoon). With┬átea, cakes and a beautiful garden to stroll in, they were among the most relaxed and informal Royal events. Since then, The Queen hosts at least three at Buckingham Palace, as well as one at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh. Over 30,000 people from all walks of life attend these parties.

Royal garden parties take place between 4.00 pm and 6.00 pm, although the Palace gates are open from about 3.00 pm. The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, accompanied by other members of the Royal Family, enter the garden at 4.00 pm, when the National Anthem is played by one of the two military bands playing selections of music during the afternoon.

For this year spring garden parties we bring you inspiration in several famous brand and campaings, together with some great ideas for throwing a garden party on your own. Maybe not so Royal, but still original čÖé
