Interesting and inventive design by Constantin Bolimond

This flower shaped lamp by Belarussian designer Constantin Bolimond would open and illuminate when it senses low light. The idea came from the fact that flower begins to bloom when the sun shines, but his concept of the lamp works in an opposite way. The lamp’s optical sensor reacts when it gets dark and cause the petals to gradually spread out as the light decreases. He used different materials and colours cto create six petals, which act together as a shade and regulate the amount of light dispersed from the small bulb positioned in the centre.
