Christmas time in Vienna is something I’ll never forget, the glühwein bars in Museums quartier, Christmas markets all over town, and waltzing at midnight on New Year’s eve…there is nothing quite like it.
That’s why it’s a good thing I moved to New York! It’s not the same, but I do have to say…it’s equally as cool. There’s ice skating at Bryant Park, window displays on 5th Avenue, and there are even Christmas markets….and some have REALLY cool merchandise! The Christmas market at Union square was my favorite, it had a really great selection of artisans, from hand made leather goods, to gourmet chocolate to SUPER DUPER cool watches!
I desperately WANT a Mistura watch! These timepieces are not only über hip but, they are also ecologically friendly. The face of the Mistura watch is made from exotic woods from the South American tropics: Bamboo, Macana, Coconut skin, Carreto, Guayacan and Nazarene. The watch cases are made either of wood or of recycled materials (70% plastic, 27% aluminum, 3% paper). The watch straps are hand dyed leather with wooden clasps.
