I always cry at weddings… it’s just the most romantic thing on Earth! I wish the couple endless love, friendship, lots of fun and many children !
Carla Sozzani, editor of Vogue Italy, was there and tell us every detail:
“Yesterday Margherita Missoni married Eugenio Amos in a romantic church at Brunello, near Varese. She was very beautiful in a gown created by Giambattista Valli with the careful participation of Margherita: the dress, traditionally white, included, of course, “Missioni†details like the reproductions of prints and embroideries (but in white). The tiara and the very long veil, together with the wedding dress, gave the bride a noble and regal allure.
Eugenio Amos, the groom, was also very elegant as were the bridesmaids with daisy wreaths. The breakfast was served as an elegant “lunch on the grassâ€, but developed according to the Missoni taste and style: round and square tables with big cushions on Oriental mats.
In the century-old park of Angela Missoni’s house, the view was as beautiful, young and sophisticated as one could hope for. From the glasses to the plates, to the waiting, everything was developed elegantly and perfectly.
The day ended with a big party (and traditional dance) at a venue at the foot of the hill. Margherita and all the young female guests were very beautiful: from Coco and Bianca Brandolini D’Adda to Eugenie Niarchos, but also Jennifer Missoni, Beatrice Borromeo, Tatiana Santo Domingo, Dasha Zhukova, Mario Testino and many others.”
