H.Stern Jewelry and the Curves of Rio de Janeiro

H.Stern is a brazilian jewelery brand that since the 50′s has become synonymous with colorful gemstones and beauty, be it in New York, Paris, Frankfurt, Rio, São Paulo or Tel Aviv, and is always present at the Red Carpet.

H. Stern collections are often a result of a collaboration with artists and designers from a wide variety of disciplines, as for example, fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg, modern ballet dancers from brazilian’s Grupo Corpo, or the unstoppable and genial Oscar Niemeyer who, aged an astounding 104, has designed a range of jewellery for H. Stern, inspired by his designs that put South American architecture on the map such as the futuristic capital city of Brasilia in the 1950′s and the ONU headquarters in New York. All the designs stem from his love of curves, as seen in the easy, flowing lines of his sketches, said to be inspired by the bays and mountains of his home town Rio de Janeiro.

If you go to Rio de Janeiro, you shouldn’t miss visiting H.Stern’s World Headquarters. As you take the H.Stern Workshop tour, you will see how jewelry is made – from the rough stone to the ready to wear jewel !!!
