Okay, it happens occasionally….I have a girl crush…and it’s Kate Young! I’ve always sort of admired her from afar….following her career at Vogue, working with Derek Lam, to becoming a celebrity stylist (clients include Natalie Portman and Michelle Willams) and now she’s collaborating with designers and stores (INC for Macys).

She’s got that cool white-blonde hair and just seems so hip and effortless in her style. I was just checking out her Selby home tour and discovered that her Chelsea apartment was just a hop, skip and a jump away from the hotel I was staying in. Wow, I might have even had an espresso at the same cafe that she frequents.
Guess what? Did you see the Devil wears Prada? Well, Kate started out at Vogue as Anna Wintour‘s assistant!! (oh the stories she could tell!) Last year, the Hollywood reporter named Ms. Young one of the top five Hollywood stylists. Quite an accolade indeed!
